The God she describes isn’t the God depicted in literature. The God in literature is not a loving god nor a god that approves of homosexuality. I don’t think the woman shouldn’t love her grandson because “that’s what God would want” but rather because he’s her grandson and someone deserving of love regardless of his sexuality.
